his commission is the inspiration for Roll To Save as a whole. This page mirrors one of the early scenes in Disney's 1999 live action movie; Inspector Gadget. In fact the name 'John Brown' is pretty much taken from the movie as well. I really liked Matthew Broderick's portrayal of the awkward and haphazard inspector and the early scenes before he becomes the bionic crime fighter was a major inspiration for John's character.
