#161 - The Reunion 3

Mallory is a woman of many talents. One of them is being a professional party planner! Though she tends to go a little overboard. It's a good thing our familiar friend Kelaiope is there to help her in keeping from going overboard! Major thanks to her creator by the same name for allowing the cameo to happen! And yea... speaking as a former DJ... that song and/or artist are very popular with... certain folks...

I'm old (and white) enough that I remember when Red Sox games weren't known for this song.

I'm old enough to remember when it first came out and singing along to the radio. The next line is "Good times never were this good"

Not gonna lie, Mallory's creation was originally for our visual novel that's still gonna be released! I'm happy you think she has that vibe!

I wish I new what the inciting incident was that caused the whole population to start to do callbacks to Sweet Caroline, because like it was a sudden and immediate shift, like one year it wasn't a thing, and the next people pretended like they had always done it. My mom was a big Neil Diamond fan, so I had heard it plenty growing up, but like not like what happens today. It's like the Blue Swede version of Hooked on a Feeling, like that's not the version I grew up with, then suddenly it's the only version getting used.

In its own merit? Absolutely. I respect and even like a few Neil Diamond songs. But when you work as a DJ for two years with that being the number one request in most pubs/taverns. It can get... taxing XD
